It's a myth that impeachment hurts the party bringing the charges

Democrats had gains after Nixon, including a resounding victory in the presidential election. And while the popular Bill Clinton enjoyed a bump in polls after being impeached, the GOP made substantial gains in the House and Senate, and won the presidency. Yes, it was stolen, but it should never have been that close, especially given the robust economy at that time.
It's time to call out the pundits who keep repeating the myth that impeachment would hurt democratic chances in 2020. And it's time for democrats to do what's right for the country without worrying that it will somehow hurt them. Personally, I am confidant that they will.

even he isn't sure if donald fraud has tripped over the scandal key yet, even though he's practically nothing but scandal.

but he has said that if he were impeached, that would certainly trip the "scandal" key in the democrats' favor.

we need all the keys we can get, especially if the economy isn't in recession before the election.

Don't forget Andrew Johnson, I don't think the democratic party at that time would've gone far anyway but during the midterms post impeachment democrats were mud stomped

The person who was impeached might be even more popular but not the party.
