Neither has said that much directly about him.
But since their deaths it has come out that Poppy and Barbara didnt vote for Trump.
I just wonder if they will sit out the 2020 race or maybe endorse William Weld in the GOP primary just to take a shot at Trump?

(102,119 posts)Every once in a while, something leaks from a comment W made when doing international speaking events... But, I don't think either he or Jeb want to become Trump's focus. I'm sure they say plenty to "trusted" staunch Bushies--the few left in the party.

(6,042 posts)Some of these court nominations -Federalist Society- seem to indicate some kind of relationship with Trump to get their judges in place.
Not much information out there on what the rifts in the Republican Party are. Tillerson seems surely to have been a Bush faction nomination. Condi rice vouched for him.

Davis noted in the blistering missive titled Dear Republicans: Stop using my father, Ronald Reagan, to justify your silence on Trump how Republicans have claimed her fathers legacy and exalted him as an icon of conservatism and used the quotes of his that serve your purpose at any given moment.

And, yes, the Bushes will vote Weld in the primaries, and for the Democratic candidate in the general. Even if it's Bernie Sanders.
