if that simple exercise can keep up a fighting spirit or if done in a great enough volume could prove unnerving to the recipient (likely DOJ staffer) then what is the harm?
You could use similar logic to negate calling up your Representative so they have an idea of what their constituency is thinking.

It might not be a factor for you but perhaps small gestures of defiance can be helpful to others who are struggling with this dark era. Haven't you noticed the uptick in defeatism here lately?

I agree it isn't fighting in a literal sense, that time still has yet to come. How about suggesting something more effective rather than harshly tearing the notion down?
