Hey Trump, you deranged asshole, the economy you're bragging about is courtesy of Barack Obama

It was Obama who handed all the pieces of the economical puzzle to Trump on a silver platter including a stock market that was jump started by Obama's administration. I think every Democratic candidate and every other Democratic pundit should be attributing anything good about the economy to the right person, President Barack Obama.

If the econony was tanking, you know darn well that the first person Republicans would blame would be Obama. I'm sick of hearing the bloated asshole in the WH bragging about the economy as if it was only him who had anything to do with it, so I hope some highly vocal Democratic pundits will set the record straight whenever Trump toots his own horn about it.

make for the 2020 election to anyone but the choir (solid Democrats and leaners).

We’ll be better off emphasizing healthcare, education, social security, actually draining trump’s swamp, etc., unless things turn for the worst.

the economy seems to be the only thing right now that could keep Trump afloat in 2020.

Screwing consumer protections, decreasing access to affordable and comprehensive healthcare, destroying public education, polluting the environment, and cutting labor laws, and having unstable trade policies that change with Trump's current moods will eventually change the economic direction. Not to mention the deficits created by the tax cuts which will result in further cuts in social programs.

Many, though certainly not all, of the jobs created are lower wage temporary hourly service jobs with no benefits.

I took a temporary seasonal no benefit retail job last October. While I am still technically employed, hours and shifts are very sporadic. Consumers are not spending.

how about "the economy is hitting on all cylinders" like the tv "economusts" might say?

i'm not convinced that stock prices and growth reflect much more than inflation, or that employment numbers mean much more than that we boomers are worn out and younger workers are working multiple jobs.

it just seems that if the economy were "hitting on all cylinders" we'd be seeing more factories opening and fewer malls and down towns closing.

maybe i'm wrong. at any rate, when obama was sworn in the economy was at full stop. we did not have much help from repubs to get it movung again.

I'm just saying that anything good that's being said about the economy should be attributed by our pundits to Obama, not Trump. When it tanks, and I wouldn't be shocked if it tanks before 2020, then it will be Trump who ruined it.

the contradiction is that they deny that the government has a role in managing the economy, but then take credit when conditions seem to be improving.

most commentators are as well. I think he's riding Obama's coattails on all economic topics and the numbers are generally good in spite of the idiot in the WH.

Just because he hasn't fucked up certain parts of the economy, doesn't mean he hasn't fucked up a lot of things.

there were many, and they are good jobs. nurses, doctors even, techs, janitors, cooks, you name it. often union. often w shift bonuses, and holiday pay.
and unlike the defense contractors that are fueling job growth now, they lead to a better god damned world.
