Bad Day For Trump

It looks like the NY AG is going to be a thorn in Trump's side and Barr has no jurisdiction over her. Reports are surfacing that the Trump Org. has been using undocumented workers for decades at Trump properties, golf courses, and the Va. vineyard.

Undocumented workers from Costa Rica even built golf greens at Trumps golf courses. The story is emerging because Trump made the undocumented workers clock out and work several extra hours for no pay. So now the NY AG is looking at whether Trump violated New York wage and hour laws.

Curious that more emphasis isn't being put on the fact that Trump has employed possibly thousands of undocumented workers.

The Trump Organization has responded that this story is fake news that it was just rogue workers who falsified papers to gain employment at Trump properties.

If I were one of our presidential candidates I would be hammering Trump about his con game of railing against illegal immigrants while at the same time hiring them. This takes away one of his campaign talking points if people would only push it.

Hopefully this story isn't covered up, Dems need to shine a light on it.

They tried to say that these were "rogue workers" with false papers - which initially would indicate that the Managers at these properties thought they were all legally able to work in the US. So how did they know which workers they could force to work overtime with no pay? Hmmmm.

Trump sent down orders to cut costs, especially at his golf courses that lose money. This is how they cut costs by forcing undocumented workers to work without getting paid, undocumented workers can't complain. The reporter who broke this story said that he personally talked to 36 Trump employees who were forced to work without pay. The Trump organization is now firing these people because the NY AG is investigating it.

Barr has control over SDNY, and if one of Trump's minions gets nailed by SDNY Trump can pardon them.

Barr has NO control, nor does Trump have pardon power, over the things NYAG does. And the New York attorney general doesn't like Donald Trump. If you really want to put the hurt on Trump, you do it through the NYAG.

G.M. and senior manager of a lot more complex and highly integrated firms than Trump's golf courses, unless he personally signed up these folks, I say phhtt!

It'll be the managers, directors, supervisors, et al of these facilities that may be charged and end up fined or even jailed. One can bet Trump's henchmen did all the sign-ups and they may be the only ones to pay. Think of it this way: has any CEO, of most large firms, ever gone to jail over the alleged law breaking of lower level minions. Not very often, unfortunately!

No. That's why Cohen is in prison, and Trump's not.

But seriously, it might be meaningful to independents because illegal immigration was one of Trump's top issues, the thing he has banged his gavel over the most for the last year (except for the "Russia hoax&quot . So any CEO would have made it clear to his managers that at this time, more than any other time, they need to check and doublecheck the staff to make sure everyone is legal.

The use of illegal immigrants in the hotel business is rampant, I would think.

This story won't mean anything to Trumpers, just like a secret meeting of Jr., Manafort, and Kushner with a Russian agent to get dirt on Clinton wasn't meaningful. Just like admitting he grabbed women's private parts because he could get away with it because he's a star. Just like mocking a disabled person wasn't meaningful. Just like locking children up in cages and shipping them off w/o records wasn't meaningful. Etc., etc.

The Trumpers have lost their souls. The only ones who MIGHT care are independents and a few established Trumpers.

To blame his managers, but I’m talking about the political implications for Trump. Trump Org. Has hired a huge amount of undocumented workers most likely for decades. If I were a Democratic candidate my campaign speech would be if Trump stopped hiring undocumented workers we wouldn’t have so many trying to get in our southern border.
Why didn’t Trump use e-verify?

My ignorance brings me no bliss

I thought he was having a bad day because he’s been publicly ridiculed ALL day today for his spelling of “Kentuky” and then “stollen”, and maybe because he’s worried about Cohen dropping a dime on him at his press conference tomorrow, and since he’s been screaming all day about NO MUELLER TESTIMONY, which may mean something’s comin down the pike...

Well, as long as dumbfuck45 is having a bad day, that brings a little comfort

Maybe the NY AG will keep the story alive.

It just makes me curious when Trump rages for his wall why there aren't any Democrats asking him why he hires so many of the same people he's trying to keep out?

Am I allowed to say that Democrats sukk at messaging?
