Watching Cohen go off to prison for crimes that Individual #1 directed him to commit so that Individual #1 could become POTUS while Individual #1 lounges in the White House disobeying his oath and corrupting everything just feels so wrong. So not what America is all about.

(18,486 posts)I remember how obnoxious, cruel and bullying he was to people when he was riding high as Trump's fixer.
Cohen got what he deserved. The unfortunate thing is not that he's being treated unfairly but that, so far, his co-conspirator hasn't paid the same price.
But he eventually will.

(81,110 posts)I cant ever unsee that belligerent bullying in-yer-face intimidation shtick of his.
Sez WHO!!!!?!?!?
So he finally comes around after being force-fed a big platter of extra-large humble pie and an entire festival season of face-the-music? And now he says theres so much more to tell? Well why havent you already been talking? What are you saving it for? Some book thatll come out after nobody cares anymore?
Cough it up, Cohen. NOW.

(53,410 posts)I imagine he feels quite aggrieved by Trump. Especially when its crickets on the Presidential pardon. I would.

(17,605 posts)that little weasel. But I dont feel that way now. He was like a lover scorned. Whatever motivated that love for trump and his corruption was too strong for him to fight. As much as he liked to portray himself as a fighter.. i just think of him as a scared boy now.
Hes guilty as hell dont get me wrong.. the taxi cab medallion shit was going on way before trump. He knows he fucked up..he knows what he did was wrong..he knows he deserves prison..he knows he betrayed his family. He tried the tough guy suit on for awhile and it just never fit right.
I dont think we have seen the last of him and i dont think he will be the same person when we do see him again.
i for one would like to see him get a second chance.

(4,078 posts)The problem here isn't that Cohen is going to jail, just that the orange menace isn't with him.
When I think about it, I hope Trump is convicted in state court and sent to a state prison. None of this "Club Fed" for the Traitor in Chief.

(33,246 posts)The Post-War era of accountability is an aberration. Since most American's can't be bothered to care unless the economy is shit, maybe we're heading back to the Teapot Dome.

(530 posts)The criminals with the most dollars and power can do whatever the hell they want. Even if they do go to "prison", like Michael Cohen is today or Martha Stewart did years ago, or Jeffrey Epstein Serial Pedophile did for a few months, it is a CAKE WALK. The well-funded top 1% aren't often thrown into the general population of a maximum security prison. This bullshit about separate facilities for white-collar criminals from everyone else is rampant and exactly what America is all about. It was built that way on purpose.
