Chuck Schumer Accuses Mitch McConnell Of Leading A Cover-Up For Trump

Chuck Schumer Accuses Mitch McConnell Of Leading A Cover-Up For Trump

Senate Democratic leader, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of leading a cover-up for Trump.

Schumer said on the Senate floor, “So our leader says let’s move on, it’s over, sort of like Richard Nixon saying let’s move on at the height of the investigation of his wrongdoing. Of course, he wants to move on. He wants to cover up. He wants to silence on one of the most serious issues we face. Whether a foreign power can manipulate our elections, the wellspring of our democracy. If the leader is sincere, then put election security on the floor. Let’s debate it. Put sanctions on Russia on the floor. Let’s debate it. He doesn’t want to move on. He wants to run away. ”

Mitch McConnell has been running a cover up for Trump

Mitch McConnell has been running a Russia cover up for Trump since the 2016 election. It was McConnell who refused to join with Obama in denouncing Russian election interference in the 2016 campaign. The Senate Majority Leader has been downplaying the role of the Russians while getting hundreds of millions of dollars for his state, so it is no surprise that McConnell is now declaring case closed, and telling everyone to move on.

Mitch McConnell has taken over for House Republicans as the leader of the Trump cover-up in Congress. McConnell is moving in lockstep with the White House. Sen. Schumer was right. Mitch McConnell isn’t moving on. He’s running away.

about ANY of this or are completely and totally CERTAIN that rump and mcconnell are the good guys and we are the traitors.

SCARY how divided and ignorant this country is, or some of it.

So sure, duh to us, we are paying attention and we are patriots, but to millions this is news. If they read it at all.

I responded, "Well of course, we've fucking around with other nations elections for decades, so much so, we can't tell the difference sometimes....so we left a door open and they walked in. Why in the fuck wouldn't they? And of course Russia is benefiting from the fact we have someone in charge who is completely inept." He went silent....and he'll still probably vote for his home team.

That is exactly what McConnell is doing - or attempting to do - with the aid and comfort of his retrumplican allies in the Senate. Keep stating this and shouting it out at every turn. McConnell and the whole passel of these treasonous crooks is involved.

And when you get 500+ former Federal Prosecutors co-sponsoring an open letter to the people of the United States saying that tRump (and by extension, the retrumplican party headed by McConnell) have obstructed and are currently active in obstructing justice, there are more and more people with respected credentials and reputations who are willing to point their collective fingers at this treasons and execrable lot and shout it to the mountain tops.
