I live in Lincoln, Nebraska...red state...but we just voted a Democratic woman to the office of Mayor, running against a Trump supporting homophobe who was on the city council, and the homophobe not only lost her race but a gay man is replacing her on the city council!

(82,383 posts)Thats a city. Remember in 2008 Obama got one vote from that state from the urban area. That state allows division of the EC votes.

(56,828 posts)to the governor's office was big, I thought. Iowa moved from red to pink last year as well, though the Democrat lost a close election.

(28,755 posts)I've spent time working there on 2 occasions. I can't recall if the airport has 2 gates, or 4. It's not a large city by any means.

(10,093 posts)I was concerned that bigot was going to win. I did see a lot of her signs around town. The rest of the state of course is red. I don't think I've ever seen anyone else from Lincoln on here!
