(9,090 posts)trump paraded limbaugh at golf to send a message to the republican pols to stay in line. all of them know they need rw radio to stay in office and if limbaugh goes after a 'traitor' for cooperating with dems it's over.
people anywhere can support and encourage dems and investigators by going on offfense vs rw talk radio. for eg dems anywhere but especially in NY can support nadler by pushing/protesting syracuse uni to stop supporting trump and helping to pay for limbaugh's attacks on nadler and other dems who are trying to do the right thing. uni of syracuse broadcasts sports on 5 limbaugh stations - and help bring in advertisers. syracuse iss one of 88 universities that support 260 limbaugh stations and are good places to protest.
and dems anywhere can also use artificial intelligence-enhanced transcription to destroy talk radio.
AI assisted transcription will amp up stoprush x 100 by allowing activists to easily list RW radio advertisers with little listening. much easier and effective than boycotting fox, or hoping for supermajorities to pass a new FD with those 1500 radio stations screaming FREE SPEECH!
when the ad industry sees it happening and actions re those 88 universities that threat will force it to have to ask advertisers if they actually want to support trump and global warming denial. if americans want to get this shit out of the white house and force republicans to drop him all they have to do is stop ignoring it and reduce kremlin talk radio from 1500 to 200 stations.
that will be the most effective offense dems can do. that's how dems can support dems and push republicans to turn on trump

(6,543 posts)Fascinating, and somewhat disheartening that so many supposedly intelligent people were able to make so many excuses trying to exonerate Barr and his client. Very happy that the motion has been passed out of committee and will move to a vote on the House floor.

(54,291 posts)Not a ONE who says that knows him, I promise you. Jerry is anything but dull. He is unbelievably smart and very methodical. If he takes his time about something, it's because he doesn't want the object of his scrutiny to have any wiggle room once proceedings are underway. When Jerry finally says, "your ass is mine (in more polite terms, of course)," in all likelihood, it is exactly that, tax, title and license.

(3,433 posts)We need professional and reliable leadership. Responses to challenges do not need to be animated and full of emotion. They need to be measured and direct. Nadler gave is this while suffering through Doug Collins incessant foot stomping.

(7,616 posts)Can't give the Courts any excuse or reason to not rule in our favor. Time is of the essence, however and that judge indicating a fast tracking of his ruling is a good omen.
Let's hold our reps feet to the fire though to make sure they follow through. We can't allow timidity to disguise itself as simply being meticulous or painstaking thoroughness and attention to detail.

(9,688 posts)As impatient (and, to tell the truth, desperate) as I've been for us to finally hold these greedy, defiantly ignorant, shamelessly corrupt, anti-constitution, blatantly treasonous band of criminals accountable, the fact that the Dems have laid this foundation of a clear, public series of escalating requests, followed by the regime's equally public, escalating series of refusals, will be vital to our case when it reaches the courts (as it almost surely will).

(507 posts)yes, I WOULD LOVE to see this move faster, but like anything that takes place in a Court of Law, Impeachment follows the same slow path. Cross your 'T's, Dot your 'i's, in order for this to go further, and for MOST Americans to believe that what Democrats are doing with the Impeachment is not Partisan, I can see why Nancy Pelosi is taking the slow route for all of this. I guess this is why she's the one holding the House of Representatives gavel.
