Nadler was unhappy with the passage of the surveillance-reform compromise bill, the FISA Amendments Act of 2008, saying it "abandons the Constitution's protections and insulates lawless behavior from legal scrutiny".[24]
Income taxes
Nadler compared Obama's acceptance of Republican demands to extend Bush-era tax cuts at the highest income levels to someone being roughed-up by the mob, asserting that the Republicans would only allow the middle class tax cut if millionaires and billionaires receive a long-term tax cut as well.[25]
(I must say, I have to agree with him.. That's OK)
Nadler has proposed changing the income tax brackets to reflect different regions and their costs of living, which would have lowered the tax rate for New Yorkers.[26][27] Nadler has opposed giving tax breaks to high-income earners, saying that the country cannot afford it.[25]
Abortion
Nadler also vowed to re-introduce the Freedom of Choice Act during the Obama administration.[28] He has a 100% rating from NARAL Pro-Choice America.[29]
Same-sex marriage
On September 15, 2009, Nadler, along with two other representatives, introduced the Respect for Marriage Act, a proposed bill in the United States Congress that would have repealed the Defense of Marriage Act and required the U.S. federal government to recognize the validity of same-sex marriages.[30]
Occupy Wall Street
Nadler sent a letter to Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. requesting that Holder investigate whether the police monitoring the Occupy protests had deprived the protestors' Constitutional rights. It was reported that Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg of New York City had "ridiculed" Nadler's call for an investigation into police conduct. Bloomberg suggested he would be able to make the streets safer by getting money for homeland security instead.[31]
Immigration
In March 2019, as the House debated President Trump's veto of a measure unwinding his declaration of a national emergency at the southern border, Nadler said, "I'm convinced that the president's actions are unlawful and deeply irresponsible. A core foundation of our system of government and of democracies across the world going back hundreds of years is that the executive cannot unilaterally spend taxpayer money without the legislature's consent."[32]
Iran
In 2015, Nadler voted to support an agreement to lift economic sanctions against Iran in exchange for Iran's compliance with the terms of the agreement which called for substantial dismantling and scaling back of their nuclear program.[33]
Voting record
Nadler has a liberal voting record in the House. He gained national prominence during the impeachment of Bill Clinton, when he described the process as a "partisan railroad job."[34]
His Medicare proposal includes a section that provides for a consortium of organization to study Ground Zero illness.[35]
According to the National Journal, Nadler is one of seven members of the House of Representatives who tie for most liberal.[36]

(9,090 posts)search news.iheart.com/featured/rush-limbaugh/content/ + nadler to get limbaugh transcripts through iheart, or schiff or anything else, to hear what the heart of the trump base is hearing about any particular topic
below are some samples. limbaugh's been calling it a deep state coup since inauguration and blaming obama clinton soros and their moles in the 'deep state' and that's all going out on 600 radio stations and repeated all day on another 1000. uni of syracuse is one of 88 unis helping limbaugh stations attract advertisers by broadcasting sports on 5 limbaugh stations, and 260 all together.
so nadler's state uni is helping trump stay in office, attacking investigators and making excuses for trump
Barr has offered to let them see the least redacted version. The only thing that he will not let them see is that which is covered by grand jury testimony. Federal law requires that grand jury testimony cannot be made public. They are essentially demanding that the attorney general break the law and hand over an unredacted version of the Mueller report to them.
So what this boils down to is, and just synthesizing this down to its base element, this is not about the Mueller report. This is not about what they think is in it that they don't know. Its not about the fact that they think key evidence regarding collusion or obstruction is being withheld from them. It's not about that at all.
This is about discrediting the attorney general as he begins his investigation into the investigation into how this all happened. The investigation into the Obama DOJ, the investigation into James Comey, the investigation into the FISA court, the FISA warrant process, the investigation into the Steele dossier and its origins, which is Hillary Clinton, the DNC. That investigation, which Barr has already begun and which the current FBI director Christopher Wray has acknowledged he's taking part in, this is all an attempt to discredit Barr.
as soon as democrats stop ignoring republican talk radio it's over for trump. in the meantime team limbaugh will keep him in the white house, probably being fed by the kremlin

(24,324 posts)It is not Nadler's university, but I know you didn't mean it that way.
However, universities all over the country are doing the same thing. So it has nothing to do with NADLER'S state in the present discussion.
There are probably hundreds of thousands of right wing assholes in New York State. There are many in the town where I live. That doesn't make it Nadler's fault. And it doesn't affect my opinion of the state in which I live. The road on the NYS Thruway between Syracuse and Batavia, just for an example, is in excellent condition. About 5 miles west of Batavia it turns to shit. That is Nadler's fault?
In my view your post has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Jerrald Nadler.

(9,090 posts)back until we stop ignoring the talk radio monopoly taking free pot shots at them all day long.
i hear a lot of dems cheering but relying on GOTV and donations. it's going to take more than that.
democrats need offense. nadler and other dems sticking their necks out need support. there would be nothing more effective or offensive to republicans than for democrats to stop ignoring rw radio and destroy the rw rado monopoly. that is trump's only real advantage. protests at those radio stations and the universities that support them or boycotts and other activism that got the attention of the ad industry would scare the crap out of republicans. they'd freak out. that would get media attention.

a few even took the train in through union station building to get to the protests, which is or was the home for one of the loudest and first limbaugh stations in the country.....
they could have protested at the uni - limbaugh was doing daily attacks on the protestors from that sstation
