ATF spokesperson Ginger Colburn said in a written statement that authorities were anonymously tipped off that someone was "conducting illegal firearms transaction outside the scope of the federal firearm license that the individual possess." Along with the weapons, firearm manufacturing equipment and tools were also found at the home.

"This stemmed from an investigation of an individual who was selling illegal firearms and manufacturing illegal firearms," police Lt. Chris Ramirez told NBC Los Angeles.
The weapons were taken from a home near the famous intersection of Beverly and Sunset boulevards in a joint ATF-police investigation. Real estate listings offered homes for sale at an average price of more than $17 million this week in the neighborhood, which is part of Los Angeles' Platinum Triangle.

Seems out of place in a neighborhood where the average house is $17 million.
