...that reported he had been informing the White House on the sly.

He is attempting to regsin his credibility with the Democrats on the Committee by permitting them to have an interview with Don Jr, in my opinion.

His son will be prepped by a team of lawyers with a statement and a run through of Q&A known in advance from GOP Senators to dilute the perjury charge potential against him.

They're pretending he'll fight it kicking and screaming all the way.
But he'll just follow the misinformation script like GOP pundits do with their talking points.

Meanwhile, the Dem Senators won't have access to the full Mueller report or the underlying evidence they would have otherwise used to question him.

From the GOP perspective, this is a prime time to subject him to this.

And a coordinated whitewash of his prior perjury.
I expect our Democratic Senators to be very prepared.

They referred Prince for perjury prosecution but apparently will give Junior to correct his lying self.
Just a guess.

correct and "inaccuracies" made to Congress, and greatly reduce -- if not eliminate -- the chances he will ever be charged for lying to Congress.

The only other explanation is the Burr has wised up, knows trump is going down at some point, and Burr wants to distance himself --and some GOPers -- from the whole trump pile of crud.

McConnell is reading his dailies and they must really be ugly to allow this to happen. Watch the spin form this to hit Hyper Speed.
