He's warring against the Dems, he's warring with China over trade and now we might be getting a real war with Iran.
Bolton must be doing bad dancing in the oval office.

(31,011 posts)He probably figures he's got nothing to lose, and everything (including $$$$) to gain. I despise him with each and every cell, in my body, straight down to the bone marrow.

Putin could back some terrorists to create the illusion of an attack from somewhere to start a war.
I think he knows he's doomed if he doesn't win reelection

I have been expecting this for a while. A Gulf of Tonkin type incident, especially if a few US military personnel are killed, could see 80% support for retaliation, and Trumps approval jumping double digits.
It could well result in Russian ships protecting Iranian vessels in the Straits of Hormuz, and Trumps ego on the line to take decisive action against them.
Or best safeguard is that I do think enough of the military top brass hate and fear Trump so much that they would expose the fraud if it occurred.

(12,344 posts)He's had plenty of opportunities and reasons to, but really it's one bluff after another.
I also don't think he's afraid of going to jail. A narcissist never believes they will have to pay for their crimes. Their biggest fear is having to admit fault.
If he loses the election, he will blame somebody else, then try to bluff and delay his way out of jail. He might even succeed at it. He's very good at getting away with stuff.

(58,785 posts)He's cornered and increasingly desperate. There are many who want him to remain in power who are not.
I also believe he'd love -- and benefit tremendously from -- a nice, big terrorist attack that couldn't be blamed on him and the Republican Party, not that he's conspire with a foreign government to make it happen, of course.
