While I admire the tenacity and perseverance Tiger Woods displayed while making his comeback, I believe that the Medal of Freedom awarded to him would be far better served if it were awarded to this young gentleman and others like him. These are the true heroes...

Kendrick Castillo is so amazing because he was so young and apparently this was just his character as well known by his friends, classmates, family.

Here's the case of the UNC-Charlotte student hero:

When a gunman opened fire in a University of North Carolina at Charlotte classroom, sending people diving for cover and rushing toward a door, student Riley Howell charged and knocked into the shooter, police say.
Howell died for his efforts, shot by the gunman he rushed. But he was the "first and foremost hero" in bringing Tuesday evening's shooting to an end, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney said.

Tiger woods is an entitled, lying, cheapskate, adulterer, asshole, who has contempt for anyone not as gifted, athletically or competitively, as he is. He is a perfect match for trump in many ways. Scumbags hang together. Add Jack Nicklaus to this list also. Add virtually all professional golfers to this list.

I would like to see all the scumbags fall together.

I will not watch golf anymore because of my political stances. Call me shallow, but it is what it is.

15. I've only watched snatches of one or two golf games in my life.

I was bored to tears within minutes. I've never understood the attraction.

I've always felt the sport to be elitist and discriminatory. In fact, I don't really consider it a sport. I think it's more like a "gentlemen's club," where rich white men rub elbows with other rich white men and concoct their let's-get-even-richer schemes.

And of course, it has a long history of racism in the US.

I'll never be caught dead on a golf course.

I'm sure he never thought he would be known and honored all over the country.
One day he's just a school kid, hanging out with his friends.
The next he gives his life to help his schoolmates live.

There is no truer hero than that.

I have nothing personal against Tiger Woods, but Woods is not in the same league with Kendrick Castillo.

Yes, please put Riley Howell up there with Kendrick.
