Trump just admitted in writing that suppressing his tax returns helped him win election.

So what was in his returns that would have hurt his chances?

I won the 2016 Election partially based on no Tax Returns while I am under audit (which I still am), and the voters didn’t care. Now the Radical Left Democrats want to again relitigate this matter. Make it a part of the 2020 Election!

made him look strong and tough because he couldn't be forced to do it (that seems to be the way he often thinks), or is he confessing that he'd have lost the election if the voters had seen them?

This seems like a roundabout way of asking his base to help him keep his tax returns under wraps, right?

have followed that with "and voters didn't care."

He would have said something more like, "voters were proud."

Not one time before the election in 2016 did he say that he was not going to turn over his tax returns. He kept saying they were under audit. He left the impression that he would show his returns at some time in the future.
