Well, I've been issued a "community standards alert" on Facebook

It was issued on a photo I posted of a truck with LOTS of anti-trump* bumper stickers. And I am 99.9% positive I know who sent the alert, since my settings are on private, so only my friends (cough, cough) can see my posts.

I have a VERY conservative, trump* loving 3rd (or so) cousin, that came into my life in just the past year. She is the ONLY person on my friends list who isn't, at a bare minimum, liberal leaning and also the only person to ever chastise me, via Messenger, for my political beliefs. I asked for the post to be reviewed so the "jury" is still out. And, really, I've posted MUCH harsher things.

I will be seeing her at a family reunion, next month, so if I'm right, I'll pick up on that vibe. She doesn't know me well enough to have ANY confidence I won't suss out if it was her. Meanwhile, I've set things up so she won't see anything else that I post. I'm pretty sure that, after the reunion, I'll just be dropping her from my list. I'm already dreading this reunion because there are others, like her, I haven't yet met. Unfortunately, not going to the reunion isn't an option. More unfortunately, the reunion is being held at a restaurant with NO BAR!!! Well, on second thought, maybe that's for the best.

That just seems weird to me. That is nothing compared to the anti-Trump stuff my cousins on Facebook have posted, LOL!

As for your 3rd or so cousin, If it were me I would have clicked "unfriend" by now.

4. No doubt she'll be erased from my list, once I get home from the reunion

Things will probably be strained, enough, which is the only reason I'll wait. I wouldn't even be going but I have an elderly 1st cousin with significant health issues who has no other way of getting there, if I don't take her. She's known this branch of the family for her whole life and it means the world to her to see them. I've only just met them and have little emotional attachment, at this point. I'm just going to 'suck it up' and if things get uncomfortable, I'll just go for a walk, or have my brother drive me back to the hotel.

I have a maternal cousin who is also very conservative, and he unfriended me. No harm, no foul. We still get along great, if we restrict the conversations in time and content.

Since this is my first "alert", I have no idea how the process works, or how long the review takes. Maybe they automatically issue alerts when requested, and only take a look at the post if you ask for a review.

from the Coast Guard nazi trump supporter that was planning a terror attack.

They are defending nazis and not letting us expose them.

Especially considering some of the stuff I see posted by trump* supporters. And, not to mention all of the garbage FB, itself, was allowing to be "shared" as "news" by Russia.

Since this individual will no longer see anything I post, I'm pretty confident I've resolved this issue, from my standpoint.
