There was a post a little while ago about a Dept. of Labor official being tossed off the Trump team for dragging his heels on deregulation.
I guess this was along the lines of another report in the past few days about the DHS purge after DHS officials stood their ground on putting into effect even more egregious and vile policies (if you can even get worse than imprisoning children).
I have long imagined/hoped that the front-running candidates (at least) are compiling plans for undoing the damage that this regime has done - everywhere. Defense, immigration, environment, consumer safety, health insurance and health care, etc.
But at this point I'm beginning to wonder if it will even be possible to undo the damage in four years, or four terms, even putting aside the potential threat from extreme RW judges and endless court cases. Just undoing executive order shit.
Thoughts? Or are we just in wait and see mode?

(17,595 posts)Trump has tossed or trampled on so many environmental regulations, allowing development of pristine areas, etc. etc. Some kinds of environmental damage can never be repaired. We may never know how much his administration's actions, or failures to act, have contributed to species extinctions.
Meanwhile, children growing up with reduced access to services, will never get those formative years back.
I sure wish certain non-voters and "never Clinton" voters would have thought of this in 2016. We can't ever get these four years back.

There are kids that will never be the same. Some immigrants have died because of trump policies. American families under stress, family divisions and conflict, kids growing up thinking racism is okay because the president does it. We will be lucky if we escape this nightmare without long lasting domestic terror groups proliferating.
