Does Donny Deutsch know what he's talking about?

Now that he has a higher profile on MSNBC and his own talk show, he seems to be pitching himself as an authority on democratic strategy and public opinion. I checked out his show last weekend and I can't remember exactly what he said, but I remember that it annoyed me.

Any thoughts on his commentary and if he should be taken seriously?

Marketing expertise may confer considerable knowledge of messaging and influence so I guess he comes at it from that standpoint.

time and he thinks that" posturing.

I keep wondering what he was doing palling around with an obnoxious bully who threw his weight around and picked on people when he was Trump's boy.

9. He always tries to make Cohen the victim who needs sympathy

But we all know that if Cohen hadn't got caught he'd still be the same corrupt sleaze-bag he always was/is. Remember, the reason he didn't get a better deal is that he was still holding back. Gates is still talking and I bet he doesn't do a day. And another thing, how the heck did he get his own show?

I agree with everything you said. I have very little sympathy for him. He was a foul-mouthed big talking thug until he got caught and found out his capo wasn't going to protect him and re-branded himself (probably with Donnie D's help) into a remorseful soul who wouldn't have hurt a fly had he not gotten caught in Trump's clutches.

I think Donnie got his show because he's established himself as one of the Morning Joe cool kids.

became the Cohen whisperer. It's bad enough he has a past with trump, but I was willing to overlook that.

were a couple in 2018.

According to Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donny_Deutsch, he's a marketing/advertizing guy, inherited his dad's company, then sold it a decade or so later for a nice chunk of change.

He's a native son of NYC and interacted with Trump at points over his life and seems to know him. His insights seem to be in marketing and advertizing. He's had a few talk shows none of which seem to have lasted very long.

but he makes it sound like he's a self man man. Would've never guess he inherited his company.
