neocon dreams. a reminder for young democrats ....."everybody wants to go to baghdad. real men want to go to tehran." neocon slogan circa 2001 the pnac plan to conquer their "axis or evil" began with iraq. after our troops had been greeted by girls throwing rose petals and waving the red white an blue colors of their liberators the real war could begin by arming and training the iraqi army to invade iran. cakewalk. damascus here we come! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_the_New_American_Century not all of the pnac "signatories" are considered neocons, but the neocons are strongly associated with pnac. 1. Socialists for Nixon
The term "neoconservative" was popularized in the United States during 1973 by the socialist leader Michael Harrington, who used the term to define Daniel Bell, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, and Irving Kristol, whose ideologies differed from Harrington's.[9]
Usage and general views Edit During the early 1970s, Socialist Michael Harrington was one of the first to use "neoconservative" in its modern meaning. He characterized neoconservatives as former leftists – whom he derided as "socialists for Nixon" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoconservatism Edward Michael Harrington Jr. (February 24, 1928 – July 31, 1989) was an American democratic socialist, writer, author of The Other America, political activist, political theorist, professor of political science, radio commentator and founding member of the Democratic Socialists of America. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Harrington This is the DU member formerly known as JonLP24.

2. The Shaw's family has and most likely
still hob nobbing around in Rethug circles as we discuss Iran. Understand they are one of the big time Donor's.
Rereading the History of the overthrow of the Shaw is damn good stuff and the Rethugs are doing what ever it takes to establish another Viceroy puppet Regime in Iran. Knowing full well they are about to lose power and will be out of Office for several Generations to come. This is the DU member formerly known as Wellstone ruled.

4. Again I mispelled Pahlavi's title.
This has been a sore spot for the John Birch Society (Koch Brothers) Wing of the GOP. Pahlivi Family was and is probably the most despised person's in Iran. And yes,BP as well as Royal Dutch Shell(Queen of England at the time)got free Oil just to continue the lavish lifestyle on the Shah and his family. The worst was the Secret Police who we trained and supported at the time.
