(7,947 posts)-- the 50+ of white woman, many of them, like me, older women who don't have to worry about forced childbirth now, and didn't have to worry about it when we were of reproductive age... because abortion was legal when WE needed it.
I'm thinking of my Republican aunt who always talks about how "pro-choice" she is and then votes every time for the MEN who would take away everyone's choice.

(17,595 posts)are not in that demographic. They DID live in a swing state and voted against Hillary in the GE.
I say "knew" because I pretty much don't talk to those folks anymore, even the ones that didn't unfriend me on Facebook.
But anyway, that's why I don't blame 50+ white women. Those in that demo that I know who voted Trump, were ALWAYS going to vote Republican. It's the people that betrayed their supposed ideals, that I blame.

Roe makes abortion a right, overturning it doesn't make abortion illegal.

I didn't believe it then. This is what they wanted all along. Women without choices.

I could be wrong. I often am about politics these days.
