Is There Any Doubt the GOP is the Women Haters Party?

They fight against equal pay and equal rights. Now they are criminalizing womenís reproductive rights and control of their own bodies and healthcare decisions. What will be next on their agenda for women?

2. No And The Women Who Enable Their Sickening Crusade Are Even Worse

The men pursuing this misogynistic agenda are bullies, plain and simple. What explains the women who support them, though? What's their excuse? They have none!

6. Democrats can ride this into the White House.

If we're smart enough and ruthless enough. We can't afford to play by good conduct rules any more.

7. Exactly. Democrats Also Need to Focus on State & Local Elections

Republicans have become a cancer on our democracy and have proven time and time again they donít believe in it. They need to be voted out of every office in every state. We canít give them an inch. They burned bi-partisanship to the ground with their scorched earth tactics. Democrats canít give them an inch, ever.

I REALLY, REALLY miss having Howard Dean as DNC chair. He gave us the perfect vision, contest every race, every cycle, everywhere, from school board on up.

9. Insisting cultural oppression and economic exploitation

are expressions of hate may feel perversely good but blocks understanding.

Sure, for misogynists and opportunists who want to retain male advantage for venal and ego reasons, it's as unkind and hurtful as any other abuse and thievery.

But most of the time hate has nothing to do with it.

Millions of people are in favor of more traditional roles for women, including millions of women. They believe it's right and responsible. They want it. They elect legislators who reflect their views.

Of course, for them "big government" is only big if it's liberal and expanding rights. When it's social engineering whole states or a whole nation to protect/impose the traditional values and religion of some on all, it's just "good government."

They may have gone too far this time. I don't know about Alabama, but Pew reported 36% of Republicans nationally support legal abortion. I imagine we've all seen a bunch of conservatives become a lot less conservative on some issue when it bit them. And actually saying their famous, "I'm not a feminist, but..." may be long out of style, but the attitude's actually very alive and well among a whole lot of conservative women.

11. That's Why Every Time I See A "Women For (Republican Candidate)" Sticker On A Pickup Truck......

.........(And yes, it's almost ALWAYS a pickup truck), it makes me almost physically ill. How could you possibly support a Party who considers you a second-class citizen (if that)? I feel the same way when I run into a gay Republican (yes, I know a couple of them) or a black Republican (I know several of them too). I always want to ask them, "How can you be a member of a Party that doesn't consider you human?"
