https://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/ny-toddler-rescued-three-days-after-disappearing-20190515-7soeb7ni3refxoupxgqj4hwqrm-story.html

A 22-month-old child who was missing for three days was rescued Wednesday after being found alive at the bottom of a 50-foot cliff in eastern Kentucky, according to local authorities and media reports.

Kenneth Howard apparently walked out the back door of his Magoffin County home on Sunday night and disappeared into the woods, prompting a massive search operation and leaving his heartbroken family in anguish for days.

little ones can be very resilient. I can remember back in the 80s there was a major earthquake in Mexico City that severely damaged a hospital. A week after the quake workers were combing through the rubble and came upon a several month-old baby who was essentially uninjured, just dehydrated...

That kid flat did some moving on (snip):
Kenneth was found a little before 2 p.m. Wednesday and was alert, according to Magoffin County Emergency Management director Robert Prater. Kentucky State Police spokesperson William Petry said he was found around a mile away from his home near the Magoffin-Floyd county line.

Rescuers with the Prestonsburg Fire Department were doing a grid search in the area when they heard Kenneth call out.

“As we were coming down, we were fortunate that he had heard us and screamed out,” Prestonsburg Fire Chief Michael Brown said. “One of our guys heard him scream and at that point we all got quiet and a couple of guys started calling his name. Sporadically he was calling out, we found the location of the sound and went back and he was just sitting there.”

He's one very lucky child. Survived three chilly nights and critters didn't get him......
