Specifically, a clock broken such that its time display never changes will be accurate once every period (generally either once every 12 hours or once every 24 hours.) The most accurate functional clock always has some level of error in its time reporting, so it is never reporting the correct time.

Nothing to do with the op.

Is it fascism yet? Or should we wait until all the states join in?

For more than I wanted to spend. A great neighborhood, doorman building, lovely view onto a pretty courtyard but the unit itself is a little run-down, especially the kitchen. I was going to have to sacrifice something for what I could afford. I decided to be safe and close to work as opposed to having a nice, new place and being far from work in not such a great neighborhood. It sucks when you aren't rich and live in an expensive city.

Thanks for asking!

As the old saying goes. "When lots of people want it, it's going to cost more". Hang in there and keep your chin up, there can always be a better tomorrow.

You have to be making a healthy six-figure salary to live in a decent place in the city. I make in the high double-digits but still have to live practically like a student. It really pisses me off.

Thanks for your well wishes!

Doesn't a halfway decent apartment in Boston run around $3,000 per month? I have done business there, the rush hour traffic is freaking insane, like "it is faster for me to get out of the car and walk" insane.

decent studio in Boston was running around $2,400-$2,500. I couldn't touch that because I also have a hefty student loan. Also, I don't have a car so I need to be on the Red Line and those locations are expensive even if you do go far out.

If so, that explains the expense.

Truly a sad situation, if cities want to remain strong and vibrant, they either need to buyout and get rid of landlords or place caps on residential and commercial rents, caps that will hold up in Court. Things are reaching a breaking point (already have in LA, the better parts of Chicago, The Bay Area and Seattle).

...not because they don't LIKE it, but they fear that if THIS is the case that gets brought to the Supreme Court, even THEY won't be able to justify upholding it. I'm sure they'd prefer something like the "heartbeat bill" to get to the Supreme Court first.

With these monsters, it's never quite what it appears to be, IMHO.
