“President Trump has requested the immediate preparation of paperwork needed to pardon several American military members accused or convicted of war crimes — including high-profile cases of murder, attempted murder and desecration of a corpse — indicating that he is considering pardons for the men on or around Memorial Day,” the New York Times reports.

The thing is, I don't think it will bring out vets who don't already support him. I read a couple of articles on these guys. They don't seem to be your run of the mill person who made a mistake. They seem to be people who think they were ordained with some powers they were not.

I don't see that as appealing to the run of the mill soldier.

There is a huge difference between supporting the troops and supporting murderers.

Especially if they look purty in uniform.
Black or Hispanic soldiers will be on their own.
