I can believe he's had a "Come to Jesus" moment and realizes which way the wind is blowing.

he's an attorney. He read the report. He understands what obstruction means legally. He's also a Libertarian which means his views on some things intersects with Progressives but boy most of his positions really suck. He's pro life, OPPOSED federal aid in response to the Flint water crisis, voted in favor of repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and supports decreased federal intervention in energy-related issues. Ugh. On the flip side he believes only Congress has the power to declare war, has expressed opposition to political gerrymandering, was the only House Republican to co-sponsor a resolution blocking Trump’s national emergency declaration, supported a repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act and opposed President Donald Trump's 2017 executive order to temporarily curtail Muslim immigration.
I could never support this guy. But someone's always got to be first and he as well as anyone might as well be the first to come out against Trump. Then maybe others will have the sand to follow.

He has long been critical of Trump, like Mark Sanford was. Only difference between the two is that Amash got re-elected and Sanford didn't.

With our impending independent commission redistricting, he’s not gonna go down with the Trumptanic.

MI is heading to California level blue over the next 10 years.
