Honda/Acura

OK, i am done, wife drives a Honda CRV, which I have always hated. I am on my third Acura.

With Honda/Acura having a Mar Lago meeting I am done.

The Honda/Acura website is weak. So here is my issue, how can i make it clear to them I am done.

This is my third Acura, going back to 2002. Will take a loss on my current one and buy anything.

As stated before, I HATE my wife's CRV, no problem trading that in for a Hyundai or something else.

Suggestions?

You know they don't care about us individually, just care about their PR.

What do you hate about the CRV?

the current one is 10 years old and hasn't needed anything but routine maintenance. I hate what they've done to the Civic and have been thinking about a HRV when the time comes. (Which could be a long time, my '97 Civic stayed in the family and was just "put down" last month). Maybe a Subaru?

BTW stay away from Hyundai, it's had some big problems with its engines. I know a couple people who have had problems with them (in fact the only 2 people I know who have owned Hyundais.)

your dismay, but don't take f**king loss because of their stupid political action. If there is a problem with the car or it is a lemon that is one thing, but buy and sell on your terms

I’m on my 3rd Santa Fe. Reliable, all the bells and whistles you could want and I’ve never had any problems with any of them. Make sure your complaint goes to the top of the food chain...nobody at a dealership will give a damn.

what you hate about the CRV.

I drove a 2004 Civic for 16 years. I bought it when it was two years old and it was always completely reliable. I did all the routine maintenance and it never gave me any trouble. I used to brag that it had a two, possibly three body truck. Really, the trunk was huge for a car that size, and was actually larger than the trunk in the Accord.

In September I traded it in for a 2017 Fit which I likewise adore. I've already put about 9,000 miles on it and not a stitch of trouble.

Even though Honda makes the Acura, there's a huge difference between the two makes. Back in the early 90s, when car hunting, I looked at the Acura Integra. It was okay, but incredibly noisy inside, so I wound up buying an Infiniti. I liked that vehicle, but when I managed to total it, I got a Subaru Outback because I wanted 4 wheel drive again, and I'd had a Subaru before the Infiniti. Alas, the Subaru gods don't like me, and I always had weird problems with each of the Subarus.

But to address your real question, the Honda/Acura people are not going to give a flying fuck if you decide to take a loss on your current Acura just to buy some other car. They won't even know that you've done so. And if they were to find out, they wouldn't care. That's cutting off your nose to spite your face, or in this context to lose money and think you are somehow punishing Honda/Acura.

In the end, do what you want, but it won't accomplish anything.

The last one was in 2010. Bad, bad, bad. Dealership didn't want to help at all. It got sold three years later.

Both cars have been great so far, and they have all had all the bells and whistles you could want. Though I am heavily considering a Model 3 for my next vehicle if I could afford it.

I love it. I’ve never had a single problem with other than a recall for the driver’s side airbag. Maybe they were making good ones that year.

I had the last one for 16 years. Unfortunately, they're going to stop making cars, so I'll be in the same dilemma when it comes time to replace this one. I don't know which side of the syphilitic, orange asshole Ford is on this week, so I don't know whether or not they could be an option.
