Dear Amy: I'm a Trump fan.
I just started a new job.
Every single TV at work is playing CNN. Even though FOX (three times the ratings), and MSNBC (two times the ratings) have more followers.
I knew this coming in. However, now I have heard one teammate consistently speak up against Trump.
I, like many conservatives, have a hard time rebutting him, not because of any physical reaction, but because it could hinder my position within the company.
How should I handle this situation?

They give him an answer at the linked to article but if he were to ask me my response would be "Go fucking die."

(1,480 posts)I wasn't merely intimidated, I was in real danger of losing my job. I learned quickly to voice my views only with the two or three other liberals in the office (out of about 20 people)--and then only outside the building.
I feel for the poor guy. Right.

(1,480 posts)I couldn't even do that, because I was a government contractor, and any indication that you were against the war was tantamount to treason.

(34,857 posts)But everyone knows I am not a Trump supporter. As a gag gift, my co-worker brought me back a magnet from their visit to DC last year with Trump and Malania on it. I laughed. Good fun. But I've had some pretty interesting, though hardly heated, conversations with a pro-Trump co-worker of mine.

Alternate facts, false history, and fake science makes for bad rebuttals.

Honestly, Ive never heard more whining and moaning than that of these Trumpists. Starting with their Neanderthal figurehead, the whiniest whiner of them all. Every tweet, every word is an infantile complaint, stoking hate and intolerance.
