Senator Tom Cotton: Supreme Court abortion cases were 'wrongly decided as a constitutional matter'

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said in an NBC interview that aired Sunday that he believes landmark Supreme Court cases on abortion were "wrongly decided as a constitutional matter."

"Those decisions were wrongly decided as a constitutional matter," Cotton said on "Meet the Press" during a discussion on the cases of Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey that established and upheld abortion rights.

Cotton argued that politicians should be the ones who make the decisions on abortion.

"These are decisions that the American people ought to make through their elected representatives," he said.

Elected representatives did make those decisions before Roe v. Wade, and the Supreme Court held that some of those decisions were unconstitutional. Which is their job. Go back and read Marbury v. Madison, dumbass.

Look at James Woods. The man has a Mensa-level IQ, yet he runs around peddling idiotic conspiracy theories like an 8chan reject. Or Ted Cruz - a conditional lawyer babbling about space pirates at a senate hearing.

He is one of the most detestable senators.

No, Tommy, these decisions aren’t under the jurisdiction of lawmakers. Stop it already with the creepy obsession over women’s reproductive systems. It is None Of Your Business.

politicians unilaterally undertook such blatantly biased laws and the Supreme Court of the US stood up and said enough, and ruled in favor of Roe vs. Wade and other issues brought before the Supreme Court. The courts are a critical part of the 3-tier part of government, or did you forget, Mr. Cotton?

These fuckers are always screaming at full volume about how much they love the constitution. You know, “strict constitutionalists,” and all that crap.

And politicians (specifically right-wing white males in this case) should be the LAST people to make decisions regarding abortion. That is strictly up to women and their physicians.

Jesus, are these dangerous assholes possessed by demons?

There are even some women who are anti-choice, and you can still tell them to STFU.

decide what a woman is allowed to do with her body. Wonder how they'd feel about a law mandating vasectomies for anyone found to have impregnated a woman who didn't want to become pregnant. That's how intrusive it is. No only can they STFU, they can drop dead if that's what it takes for them to mind their own business.
