Oklahoma weather today.

Wow, this is the worst forecast I have seen for Oklahoma in 6 years. Never fun to live here in May but this is crazy. I took the dogs to my office at the University, much safer there, we don't have a safe room at home. I have food, water, snacks, dog toys and treats and kennels for them. My office is on the first floor of a sturdy building. Husband will join me later, he went in to do some work in the lab.

Calling for long track violent tornadoes, heavy rain (likely upwards of 8 inches in places). We will just hunker down right here thank you very much.

Be safe if you are in the path of this stuff.

They have been telling us be on the lookout for tornados, flash floods, and large hail for the last few weeks.

THANKFULLY, we haven't got anything.

I don't believe weatherman anymore.

I'll be heading out at noon time. I have plenty of leave so I don't mind burning some today if I have to.

With all of the weather popping up all over (especially in the whole state of KS...wow). Hope my friend in Wichita KS take shelter in a more substantial location (lives in a modular home park (does have shelters))...

if you're in a safety cellar and have 8 inches of rain pounding on the entry?

I certainly don't envy you.

Good luck.
