1. It's always the Democrats responsibility to clean up after Republicans.
Always.
They are certainly being more obvious this time around. I got a sign idea: Republicans: stop electing thieves and incompetents to high office! |

2. Yes, and then our reward is to step aside for another Republican
Rinse, lather, repeat. As I don’t see any epiphanies happening anytime soon, maybe it’s time to start thinking differently about our tactics re. our “friends from across the aisle.”

12. Like acknowledging that they are not our friends
but rather an entire party of bullies and scammers who can not be trusted.

19. I do not know the answer.
As I vividly remember my parents and grandparents ranting the same rants.
It has always been thus. |

Don’t you?

6. No, it's not implicit at all.
It's a sign attacking the Democrats.

8. Oh okay.
IF they’re addressing it to Dems and not to the thugs ruining our country...it is implicit (even OBVIOUS) who the thugs are.
Seems clear to me. But whatever. Ymmv. |

13. Not in the least.
It's the same tired nonsense attacking Democrats by implying that they're not "doing something" when they quite clearly are. It's equally as tiresome that they're the only ones held to any standards at all.

4. Stupidity personified (actually, signified) :)
Attacking Democrats for not having already begun impeachment proceedings is entitlement wrapped in ahistorical error, with a side of disrespect for the rule of law.
Remember, Watergate took place in June, 1972 and the impeachment hearings began in February, 1974. At the start, Nixon's approval was above 60%. By the time enough Republicans were on board in the Congress, impeachment was underway. It took time to accomplish a real and lasting political tectonic shift. Stop being entitled and start being practical. Call for impeachment, yes - I do so frequently - but don't attack Democrats as 'pussyfooting' or weak, or using 'kid gloves' because they are the only party left defending the rule of law. We must work for the outcome, not merely insist on it while stamping our feet, petulant and entitled. |

7. Sorry, but in the immortal words of Al Sharpton
Sometimes you have to slap the donkey.
The Trump campaign started meeting with Russians and Wikileaks about three years ago and documented incidents of obstruction happened in early 2017. Trump is now in full stonewall mode (also impeachable). What does your timeline look like? |

9. You're wrong...
Trump's people have been meeting with Russians since about 20 years ago.
His campaign was meeting with Russians more like 3-4 years ago. 1-2 years before the election. ![]() |

14. Not when your kid, "Republic" is tied to the Donkey's back. (nt)
21 months from the Watergate arrests to the start of impeachment. Over 2 years to resignation.
How long ago did the Mueller Report come out? History, political timing, and context matters. |

15. None of that matters in the slightest
The absence of Republican support is all that matters to leadership right now. The case for opening an inquiry is there. That's why we're having this discussion.

Attacking Democrats now makes zero sense.

18. It serves a good purpose even though I believe
that the Democrats are doing the right thing regarding the process. It expresses the anger that we feel about what Trump and the Republicans are doing. It serves to wake up the people who aren’t involved. The more pressure to uphold the law the more pressure the Democrats and everyone else will feel.
It shows that we’re really getting angry. |
