2. Most people made up their minds about Trump years ago.

The vast majority of people made up their minds about Trump years ago and there's very little middle ground where he's concerned.

I think that barring something truly extraordinary being exposed, it's unlikely that impeachment will sway a significant chunk of the electorate. His base likely won't care, and the other 55-60% of us already think he's a crook.

That doesn't mean that it shouldn't or won't happen. It just means that Trump is a known quantity and without a truly smoking gun, we probably shouldn't get our expectations too high about swaying public opinion en masse.

That also doesn't mean that further investigations or the ongoing cases in other jurisdictions won't lead to post-presidency indictments. That may actually be the best chance of Trump being held to some form of justice.
