...Bus driver Michael Botton, told Kent Live: "There were a couple of guys standing with milkshakes, they were going to throw them over him.
But the police are there, weve spotted them and now Nigel isnt getting off the bus.
Three young men were said to have been seen carrying the drinks, reportedly with covered faces.
After Farage and his security detail were alerted, the Brexit Party leader was advised not to get off the bus.

(953 posts)3. Observation about American fast food pricing in England
Years ago (1992) I observed that American fast food in England had the same numeric prices as in their same restaurants in the US, except the currency was in pounds instead of dollars. I found it outrageous and couldn't seen why anybody would buy the stuff.
I guess that pricing model is still in effect. And yes, $5.25 for a milkshake isn't exactly a bargain in its own right.

(2,860 posts)9. I guess the US and the UK both 'stepped in it' big time.
I can't watch the video here in the US, but thanks for the article! I really liked this part:
In other words, the best way to succeed as a politician is to pretend that you aren't one. Which is both an interesting philosophical bind, and a hell of a mess for the future.

You would think he was going to die from being assaulted with ice cream. Body guard and cop coming to his aid.
