I get the distinct impression my friends across the aisle think that I think President Trump is above the law, and thats just so wrongheaded I cannot begin to tell you, McConnell explained. Sure, hes denying the Democrats oversight into his administration that I would literally be foaming at the mouth to impeach the previous black administration over, but I dont think that. No ones above the law.
Pausing to sniff some coal he had in his pants pocket, McConnell saw the reporters were confused.
Trumps not above the law, McConnell posited, it just doesnt apply to him.

(25,111 posts)Senate and house are to help protect the USA from rogue individuals that will hurt and destroy the democracy of this country.
McTurtle and others have put party over the Constitution of the USA.
Republican presidents and administration, etc. are allowed to break the laws and the constitution.
We know if the President other than Republican, he/she would be ousted out of office by now.

(5,491 posts)Sadly, it's what he really thinks. I can't wait for the next Democratic president because we will all laugh anytime the Republicans talk about oversight.

(12,448 posts)It's getting impossible to tell the difference between satire and reality. I actually can picture Mitch saying that. I'm pretty sure he thinks it.
