I would like Mueller to just answer 3 public questions THEN finish privately?
1)Were you asked to end your investigation? 2)If you had more time to finish, could you have decided OBSTRUCTION? 3)Did you want CONGRESS to decide OBSTRUCTION? Then go into private meeting!!

3. Definitely ask #1.
I think questions 2 and 3 are answered in the introduction of Volume II of the Mueller report. Mueller says he could not indict a sitting president without the possibility of a trial for the accused to defend himself. Instead he wanted to preserve evidence for possible prosecution when he’s out of office. And Mueller says that since Congress already has a constitutionally sanctioned remedy, that is preferable to legal action against a president, which he could not bring anyway due to OLC policy.

5. Mueller is not going to serve a particular agenda, and it will be the House who asks him
questions. What “we” want the American people to see and hear on television so that they think or feel a certain way would be exactly what Mueller does not want to be a part of.
Let the House carry this out and the transcripts, the highlights of which will get s good airing, be the basis to check the facts. We do not need spectacle. The House, our reps, need answers and to get them need Myeller. He will probably be more forthcoming without the cameras. The Dems can surely question properly and deliver answers about the testimony as appropriate. What he wanted personally isn’t the point either. It’s in the report to the extent that he’d answer that. He is not going to go over and beyond on the obstruction question. |
