Talk with the South Vietnamese and convince them not to do a peace deal, so that Nixon wins and tens of thousands more Americans are killed and maimed.

Make a deal with Iran to hang onto the hostages until Reagan is sworn in so that the enemy, Iran is provided with weapons paying for an illegal war or wars in Central America.

Impeach a Democratic President for lying about sex outside of marriage, it being the one thing they had proof.

Arrange for the Republicans in the Supreme Court to do a one off and proclaim Bush president.

Bait the press into thinking Iraq is a threat...Stupid, destructive war.

Stop Obama’s judges to the point of holding a Supreme one for a year.

And then let Rump do what the fuck he wants to do. That’s what they have done.

The OP is extremely spot on and is a damn good overview of just how deceitful republics are. I'm old enough to have lived through all of this. The Nixon treachery has only been known to history within the last five years? ("Everett, they oughtn't to be doing this. This is treason!" "Yes, I know" - LBJ to Everett Dirkson, summer 0f 1968) Interesting what we eventually learn, after decades, of what truly vile corrupted people our leaders can be. Esp. the republic ones. Hey, maybe when they unseal the JFK assassination archives (in 2038 - 75 years?), maybe we'll find out who really murdered him?

The 2000 Bush v. Gore decision taught republics it's OK to lie, cheat and steal in front of the whole world. Once the; "hey, whaddayah know! We got away with it and the sheeple bought it!" realizations set in, they escalated the winning is everything, laws, ethics and morals be damned. Paved the way for the obvious bullshit Iraq Invasion.

And that's where DU comes in. I knew the entire Invasion justification was manufactured bullshit. Because I read DU back then. Painful, infuriating, and affecting our lives to this very day. Our "free press" shape shifted from Constitutional checks and balances to keep pols honest, to supine propagandists eager to "catapult the propaganda".
