As I see it, if Barr continues on his present course of "investigating the investigators", the next step will be kangaroo courts and the jailing of Trump's political opponents and any in law enforcement/intelligence who dare oppose him.
At that point, time will already have run out on the "long game".If Trump follows the course of despots throughout history, the crackdown will be rapid, vicious, and unexpected.

(7,142 posts)Barr will control the narrative. He will declare that the FBI and Democrats carried on a witch hunt against Trump. Hillary will be attacked and Barr will put Hillary's name on the 2020 ballot.

(36,461 posts)because the People wanted this corrupt & criminal administration to be held accountable, will be whooshed away. Not a damned thing has been done about foreign interference in our electoral process. We need every vote we can get. Winning the House in 2020 is not a given.

(6,551 posts)She and the Democrats in the House are not only investigating, but they are also passing needed legislation. Legislation that goes to the Senate to die under Mitch McConnell. Impeachment will go the same route, if began too fast. Give Nancy and the House Democrats credit for building a foundation for impeachment to convince ALL American people that it is a necessity. Place the blame where it needs to be place, squarely on the shoulders of the Republicans! It really irritates me when Democrats are attacked by their own, especially here on DU.

(13,903 posts)what investigations are they doing regarding Comey, the Australian connection, the FISA warrants, McCain's involvement in sending the dossier to the FBI, and on and on.
I am not blaming the Dems for what Trump has done or the GOP has done, why are you implying that I am siding with GOP?

(6,551 posts)It does cast a different light on what you have posted. Guess the origin of most of what you have listed have been discussed and dissected as things have been developing as far as I can see. Personally, his finances are a large concern, as they contain the secrets that tRump is trying so hard to hide. As for tRump's lies, that is a given!

(36,053 posts)simple factual evidence of the investigators, knowing that no later pile of he-said/she-said counter talk will tear down the wall of fact the original investigation built.
If the Senate does nothing, The People will still know the truth. If they still value truth.
