Why can't Mueller go on TV and tell America that everything Barr said in
that four page announcement was a distortion of his and the other investigators' findings and that the same is true for the Con's lies and spin.

2. He CAN, but it seems he doesn't want to be a spectacle.
Will see when/if he decides his participation is critical to our 'survival.'

21. Participation seems assured. Testimony behind closed doors or a televised hearing is the only
question. Television can have a deleterious affect on trial proceedings and make just as much a circus of House hearings. In any case, Mueller will have to testify closed session for House Intelligence Committee.

9. That might be it. He certainly let us down by not saying in the report...
that trump obstructed justice. He got right to the edge but couldn't make himself over it. And we had all put so much hope that he would recognize that he held the fate of the country in his hands and shouldn't leave it to Congress, much less some repug toady in allegiance to trump.
Guess the moment was too big for him and now he won't even take the chance to make it right with public testimony. |

one you linked.
Yes the second one was big news but he needs to address this publicly - the people need to see him |

16. A few weeks later, the redacted report was released. Apparently, Mueller was happy with that
because apparently Mueller hasn’t said anything since then.
Mueller is a disappointment, unless he comes through in next few weeks. |

6. K&R, I concluded before that things are not bad enough for ... HIM... to scream and holler. Clapper
... stomped on that here recently with his book though.
Clapper basically said Russia helped Red Don get over the hump. |

22. IMO, whether he is conscious of it or not
He may believe that upholding this "standard" of keeping silent after the report is right for the country, but he needs to check his motives, just my opinion. Barr is like a dictator's hatchet man and doesn't care to show it, and all we got was a rumor that Muller was pissed at him.

12. If Republican Mueller is not going
to be the proverbial cavalry charging over the Hill (no pun intended!) I hope some patriots in the FBI, CIA, DOJ and/or IRS start leaking damaging material, of which I imagine there is a shitload, on Trump's long career, pre-presidential and current, as a grifting sleaze bucket. In particular, he has insulted, questioned and rebuked the Intelligence Agencies since Day 1 of his regime and I imagine there must be a few very unhappy campers there. Lacking these sort of leaks, and with Congressional Democrats arguing among themselves, Hamlet style, about impeachment, I am sort of reduced to waiting for a massive McDonalds/Fries/Diet Coke-induced episode to finally stop him in his tracks.

By not speaking up at this critical time he's showing his real self.

18. With every passing day I believe more and more that Mueller used the....
can't indict a sitting President rule to limit his investigation and pull his punches. Now he doesn't want to appear in public....just more of the same.
Throw some of the President's lackeys in jail and glaze over the fascist pig and his family. Protect the nobility and power. |

19. Because
He is a professional and carried out the mandate of his appointment to investigate what was assigned to hime to look into and report the findings of his investigation. And anything beyond that well..... it simply doesn't work that way.
