Thousands of students wrote letters to migrant kids....govt refused to deliver

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/immigration/article230866669.html

..."About 100 people showed up to deliver the letters. Visiting children read them to security guards and tried to hand them the envelopes.

The guards ignored them and stood with their arms crossed. They said they would call a supervisor. No one came.

...

When the Miami Herald took a tour, reporters weren’t allowed to take photos, bring in recording devices, or speak to children. When community organizations try to donate services, equipment, clothing or food, they’ve been rejected because of safety protocols, federal officials have told the Herald.

The center, the largest in the country, is the only facility for migrant children operated by a for-profit corporation, another sore point with critics, since they note that the longer a youth is detained, the better it is for the company."...(more)

Is the Gov. denies responsibility and the contractor does not have to respond to any concerns, until the problem gets so bad, publicity forces them to.

3. Same thing happened in Calif - teddy bears for children here were refused.

People who toured El Cajon's facility saw no toys or comfort items. Those who wanted to help were refused.

This administration is run by sadists. It does not have to be this way. In the past local groups can and did bring teddy bears and other comfort items to newly arrived undocumented immigrants, but no more. This is evil.

The Sun"something" it is called. I tracked them down since I saw their logo on MSNBC about 9 months ago and saw the outside of the facility and then did some Googling until I found it and got a map. The company owns several of these places in CA and Texas. I was going to go until I found out that no one could get in, even the neighbors had no idea this was going on right next to them.

12. First the rip these children away from their parents, i.e., KIDNAP THEM
Tue May 28, 2019, 01:05 AM

then they put them in filthy cages, give them substandard food, deny them basic medical care, refuse to allow them to contact their parents, now they deprive these children of the most basic of comfort - a teddy bear.

The unspeakable cruelty of this administration sickens me to my soul.

I still don't understand why the UN is not screaming about this as loudly as I am.

I have lost all faith in this country.

We no longer stand for anything.
