If you believe Pelosi just wants to run out the clock on impeachment, which I do, he’s saying don’t waste your time on me, what I have to say is in the report.

So what we have here is a report that was delivered in late March, followed by two months of Democratic leadership saying we need to hear from Mueller and a statement today that basically amounts to a) no you don’t, what I have to say is in the report, b) we did not exonerate the President on obstruction; if there was no crime we would have said so and c) the Constitution requires a process other than through the criminal justice system to find a president guilty of a crime.

We must do as it is the duty of Congress to defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Pelosi doesn't really have any choice.

Yes, the Senate will likely fail to do their duty to fairly examine the evidence and find Trump guilty as charged, but that can't be allowed to weaken our resolve to do the right thing. Trump will be Impeached in the House and then he will very likely be acquitted of those charges by an irresponsible and corrupt Senate.
