(2,199 posts)It's Congress's job to carry on from here, and up to us to force them to do it.
The report is a blueprint for them to nail the charlatan.

(8,148 posts)should be mentioned. Today, Mueller did state that 1) could not exonerate him 2) did not indict only in accordance with DOJ policy.

(2,199 posts)If we're going to nail the charlatan's ass to the wall, has to be based on evidence and facts, needs to be airtight.
Mueller's work gives Congress the start.
His opinion or personal thoughts do not matter.

but we all KNOW its going to happen.

(64,377 posts)Barr had misrepresented the report's conclusions. But he didn't want to say anything controversial, I guess.

(18,486 posts)The report speaks for itself and everyone heard what Barr said about it.

(2,199 posts)Agree it's up to us and if people are too lazy to read, inform themselves (and others who can't read it) and then pressure congress, we can't blame Mueller.
There are no saviors who will do it for us.

(4,516 posts)You won't accept that but I take Mueller's actions to be the right thing.

(18,486 posts)People who still think Trump should remain in office think Mueller is a tool of the "deep state."
So hearing him say Trump instructed justice won't change much.

(71,936 posts)He was the investigator not the court. Now its in the hands of state and district courts all over the US. More importantly now it is officially there in Congress's hands, too.
I think we need to beat Trump at the ballot box in November 2020, tying him up with proceedings will eat him alive. We will take the WH, we need to generate a huge turnout to maybe take a couple of Senate seats and any and all down ticket offices, down to dog catcher and constable we can.

(4,407 posts)The fact that Mueller's parting warning is going to be ignored, it's very possible we won't have free and fair elections anymore.

(29,346 posts)It's either A (evidence suggests he committed the crime), B (evidence suggests he didn't commit the crime), or C (evidence is insufficient to really suggest either). Mueller has said that under no circumstances and no matter how compelling the evidence, he would not be able to say A, but that he can definitively rule out B and it is also not C.
It's not really all that difficult to connect those dots.
It's like the old "If you can't say anything nice about someone, then don't say anything at all" cliche. If you ask a person their opinion of someone else, and they answer with that phrase, then they have made a clear statement of their opinion of that person.

(31,011 posts)He did his job. He said in his report that the next step is up to congress. He said that in his statement.
He's not the bad guy here. You just wanted him to be pissed, make melodramatic and hyperbolic statements. That didn't happen and now you're crying foul.
It's up to Pelosi and congress to do their jobs. That's whose feet we should hold the fire.

(31,011 posts)I guess nothing will satisfy you or others unless he walks into the oval office and slaps the cuffs on tRump, then frog march him down Pennsylvania Avenue. It's a nice image, but totally unrealistic.
Mueller isn't the one making the country languish.
It's the fucking repubs for being complicit and aiding tRump rather than working for the good of this country.
The Dems need to get busy and start impeachment proceedings.
Your assessment is misplaced.
