Pelosi just used Melania as an example of Trump's hypocrisy on immigrationIn comments Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi poked the bear yet again, by calling out President Donald Trump’s immigration policy by using his wife and her family as an example. 8. Another one of Trump's red lines
In addition to questions about the Emperor's wealth (or lack thereof), Trump really hates having his family pulled into the discussion. Especially when, as here, they're germane to the subject at hand.

Bless her heart.
She will have him all tied up in knots before she's done. |

7. Also two of his three wives are foreign born,
as was his mother. None of them had the sort of advanced skills Trump has proposed under his merit system.
So why is it OK for Trump to have all his family members arrive as unskilled immigrants, but the same benefit doesn't apply to other people? |

10. Trump's merit-based immigration proposal boils down to "Fuckable" and "Not Fuckable"
And maybe a few useless relatives of the fuckables because it makes the fuckables more compliant.
Trump knows very well all his non-fuckable relatives are useless. |

11. An immigrant grandfather, immigrant mother
two immigrant wives, and some chain-immigrant in-laws - and he wants to ban immigrants. Of course, the ones he wants to ban don't come from Europe...
BTW, what kind of visa did the first Mrs. Trump have? |

12. Melania was illegal
She violated the terms of her visa and should never have been granted citizenship.
The only immigrants Trumpsters like are white so Melania and her parents are OK to them. |

13. The first Mrs. MF45, Ivana, scammed her way to Canada from Czechoslovakia
via a phony marriage to a different guy. Once she made it to Canada she entered the U S legally and met MF45. But since her immigration to Canada was fraudulent, it would seem (to me anyway) that her presence here was the fruit of a poison tree.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/qz.com/1346923/ivanka-trump-says-her-mother-ivana-came-to-the-us-legally-but-only-thanks-to-an-earlier-visa-scam/amp/ ..."The president’s first wife does seem to have entered the US legally in 1976: She moved from Canada to the US to work as a promoter for Montreal’s Olympics. In New York, she met Donald Trump and married him the following year. But it took a visa scam for her to leave her native Czechoslovakia in the first place, which her lawyer Michael Kennedy described as a “Cold War marriage.” In 1972, Ivana was dating George Syrovatka. But she married Austrian friend Alfred Winklmayr, a union she reportedly kept rather private (even her children didn’t know about it.) In a 1990 news conference during the divorce trial for Ivana and Donald Trump, Kennedy said that Ivana and Winklmayr married for the “sole purpose” of her leaving Czechoslovakia. The couple, said the lawyer, never consummated the marriage and never lived together. Thanks to the marriage, she received an Austrian passport in March 1972, with which she emigrated to Canada a few months later. There, she kept up the façade marriage through the waiting period required for her immigration status to be confirmed. She dissolved the union in 1973—and moved in with Syrovatka in Montreal. In the US, marrying Winklmayr for immigration purposes would be a felony called “marriage fraud.” According to ICE, marriage fraud “carries a prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $250,000, and applies to both foreign nationals and U.S. citizens who perpetrate this crime.” Convenience marriages contracted in order to obtain immigration status are illegal also in Austria and Canada. “She wanted her freedom,” Kennedy said of his client’s sham marriage." |
