Conservative News is ridiculous. This Michigan woman had NO IDEA there was anything at all negative in the Mueller Report and sincerely believed it fully exonerated trump until her republican Congressman said otherwise.

(7,367 posts)It would be redundant for me to read the entire report, even if I could.

It's all about priorities and what people find important to invest time to read.

(63,836 posts)what makes you say Congress has not read it. 400 pages of it.
By Congress I meant the House and Senate. I'm partially basing that on Justin Amash's comment to constituents
that his colleagues haven't bothered .

(18,486 posts)I'm not saying he shouldn't testify, just wondering why people think that anyone this ignorant and ill-informed would watch it. She doesn't seem to have watched anything else that would inform her of any facts. I'm not sure she would suddenly sit down to watch Mueller - who she's convinced is the leader of a witch-hunt perpetuating a hoax - and, even if she were to watch it, why anything he says would make any difference to her.

(32,626 posts)the effing window, and read a little. I doubt many people would even tune in to C-Span, but rather have events explained to them by their trusty commentator.

(63,836 posts)kind of said something last night on Lawrence O'Donnell that the Mueller report won't be read by Americans unless it was turned into a movie. Kind of sad but true.
We need to change their perception some of us do care and read.

(13,390 posts)There is a threat of impeachment hearings devolving to just another sensational controversy.
Prime time but NOT fox, msnbc, cnn, or any for profit outlet that trades in infotainment. We're probably too far gone to figure out how to agree to standards in any news reporting but the current conflict driven commentary is dysfunctional. And I am skeptical of how impeachment by covered in prime time would suddenly result in some self imposed standards that even resemble the kind of non biased coverage that a process as serious as impeachment demands.
