Trump campaign and Mar-a-Lago subpoenaed in FBI's Chinese money-funneling probe: report

As part of the FBI’s investigation into whether President Donald Trump’s campaign has received illicit foreign funds, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club and Trump Victory have received subpoenas for records relating to donor Cindy Yang and others, the Miami Herald reported Wednesday.
Trump Victory is the joint fundraising arm of both the president’s re-election campaign and the Republican National Committee.
The report explained:
Yang, a South Florida massage-parlor entrepreneur, is the target of a public corruption investigation seeking to determine if she funneled money from China to the president’s re-election campaign or otherwise violated campaign-finance laws. She became a GOP donor in the 2016 election cycle and opened a consulting company that promised Chinese businesspeople the chance to attend events at Mar-a-Lago and gain access to Trump and his inner circle.
This investigation, the report said, is separate from a probe of potential Chinese espionage efforts targeting Mar-a-Lago.
