WHY "IMPEACH"?

In 2020, Nancy Pelosi and other members of the House of Representatives might be smart enough to "impeach" most of the GOP crime syndicate, running the US Senate!

Senate GOP vows to quickly quash any impeachment charges
By BY ALEXANDER BOLTON

GOP senators say that if the House passes articles of impeachment against President Trump they will quickly quash them in the Senate, where Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has broad authority to set the parameters of a trial.

While McConnell is required to act on articles of impeachment, which require 67 votes — or a two-thirds majority — to convict the president, he and his Republican colleagues have the power to set the rules and ensure the briefest of trials.

“I think it would be disposed of very quickly,” said Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).

These are the senators facing re-election fights in 2020
By Clare Foran, CNN

Washington (CNN)With the 2018 midterm elections over, the stage is now set for 2020, a year that will be defined by a presidential election and another fight for control of Congress.

Democrats faced a more challenging Senate map in 2018 than Republicans, in part because they had more seats up for election. But in 2020, the GOP will have to defend more Senate seats than Democrats. As of now, there will be 22 Republican Senate seats on the line, while Democrats will only need to protect 12 seats.
