Maybe when they saluted McCain, one of their own, at his death over Trumpolini's wishes. Remembering, of course that McCain voted with the "president" 80% of the time.

approved, the Senate is REQUIRED to take them up....but the Senate leadership has pretty much carte-blanche on how to run the trial so I wouldn't expect they would vote to remove the orange pustule.

Then again, Nixon was going to be impeached by a GOP Senate. He resigned.


I believe the GOP would love it if Trump would just claim he did everything he set out to do and retired before the next election.

The Democratic run Senate in Bill Clinton's impeachment trail was a fairly serious effort...I doubt the republican Senate would be making any serious effort if the orange pustule were on trial.

That would underscore the seriousness of his transgressions and show the American people his criminality is being addressed as the Constitution requires.
