Here's an impeachment alternative that we would all like.

How about nullification. Once the Mueller report is translated and with the House investigations shows that trump came into power using illegal means, we have to nullify the election.

Reset the government back to the last legally and democratically elected administration. Set aside all appointments and policies made by the illegal presidency. That administration would serve until the next regular election.

Yeah. I know. But it's great to imagine a dignified and caring president again.

(Oh. And when trump is no longer president, sic the Southern New York District Court on him for his racketeering.)

election was illegal. But, pence is also illegal since he was part of an illegal campaign. There's a legal view that a crime should not benefit the malefactors. Thus, trumps SC nominees and all the fed judges he nominated...he had no right to be in the position of nominating.

Wouldn't it be loverly?

We would really and truly be in Neverland if this happened. I think I want to stick with the tried & true methods that are proscribed in the Constitution. We're gonna get him out, don't worry!

We can be sure that if the Democrats should start inventing new ways to get rid of Chump, it's going to come back and bite us in the butt tenfold when the next Democratic President is in office. He's not worth it, to quote Speaker Pelosi.

honestly, this should be moved to creative speculation, or a fiction subgroup.

all these "what if" threads should be fed into an idea feeder for screenwriters. It might end up as great drama, but its not based in any reality.

And I don't really like the idea of nullification. What would happen is simple: every damn time we managed to elect a Democrat to the presidency, the fucking Republicans would nullify the election and install the puke against the will of the electorate.

I have a better idea: first we beat Trump like the red-headed stepchild that he is in November 2020, then we wait until the inauguration, and then we charge him with all the shit he did to steal the election.

And THEN we read the Constitution, realize that while that document requires a Supreme Court it doesn't say how to set one up, and decide that the country has gotten so large a single Supreme Court panel isn't enough to take care of this nation's justice needs. We then create a new Supreme Court with six benches...DC, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, either Los Angeles or San Francisco, and Seattle. And we disperse all the right-wing justices so there's only one per bench, filling up the rest of the seats with the judges on the 9th Circuit.
