Produce prices at my Kroger have doubled since last week.

Doubled.

Lettuces, cucumbers, all kinds of vegetables.

Oddly, avocados are only 99 cents. (From cold storage, no doubt.)

This is going to be a real problem for many families.

1. Not sure if "doubled" but my local Safeway has had many price increases...

$1.99 celery bunch is now $2.99.

Quality is crap, too. I suspect partly weather, plus the tariffs so any imported stuff is more. A lot of our off season produce comes from south of the border.

5. Yep ! Every time I go to Walmart or

HEB my grocery bill skyrockets. We retired people really feel it. Cat food has really gone up and I have Five kitty babies. I eat tons of salads and am having to cut back. Wine is off the damn charts. I am very lucky to have a good retirement and Social Security but how in the hell do people who don't even make it???? drumpf needs to be GONE now. Today !!!

6. I just went to Kroger... avocados were 69 cents and grapes were 99 cents per pound.

I haven't noticed anything doubling.

* I usually buy my produce elsewhere, unless there is a good sale at Kroger (which is closer).
