Trump does not want to be impeached. It's bad for his brand.
Jeremy Peters of The New York Times said on MSBNBC’s Up with David Gura:
Having spoken to people who speak to the president, he does not want to be impeached. It’s bad for his brand. But he’s right about that. It’s also bad as far as he’s concerned because it would just be such a distraction and such a heavy undertaking. This is not like the Mueller report and the years they went through investigating him behind the scenes. This is all conducted in public. It would be such a spectacle, unlike anything that we saw with Watergate or even with Bill Clinton because the media environment right now is so different. https://www.politicususa.com/2019/06/02/trump-impeachment-brand.html

7. That's a big deal -- could lead to impeachment
House leaders want more hearings to publicize Trump's crimes more. They plan to do that but not call them impeachment hearings, although that's where it could lead.

9. you are right
things could be a lot worse, so it's important we try to keep him reined in and under investigation for the rest of his presidency.

8. The people saying he wants to be impeached are no different from the people saying he never wanted
win the presidency. Of course he did. And no, he does not want to be impeached. .

10. Re: "Re-do."
Jeez. What a novel idea, except that we know that EVERY election is a "re-do." Voters always consider and re-consider voting based partly on the last election. But the GOPers want to frame the Dems as "sore losers." So, once again, BFD. A new election means a new vote. And we're supposed to be surprised and offended that it's called a "re-do"?

11. GOP/Trump talking point
They love to whine and complain, but the truth is most Americans would LOVE a "redo" of 2016 and get that asshole out of the White House.

14. 'Democrats need to tread carefully with impeachment . . . '
Salient point from the article, underlined even.
[If Dems manage to somehow, despite all sorts of opportunities - many offered by trump himself, somehow 'manage' to lose the House and Senate too, the US will be in unimaginably horrible shape. That 'capability', demonstrated daily, is certainly there]. |

15. Ponzi Don will have his day in the Dock
of the House of Representatives and be dully convicted. Mitch McConnell has already stated he will not except any Letters of Impeachment Trial in his chamber. But,the Con Man will be offered a Resignation with possible Immunity from future Prosecution on Federal Corruption Charges, including Tax issues for himself and his Crime Syndicate.
Never forget what Dianne Fienstien said in a interview after a Intel Briefing, when Ponzi Don accumulates a certain amount of money,he will leave. BTW,no this,CBRichard-Ellis is the General Leaser of ex federal buildings and the Senator's Hubby is the CB. |
