I believe Mueller's team flipped him way back in 2017.

Although I have no idea of his guilt or innocence on these charges, and he does have a history -- wonder if it's some kind of retaliation BY Trump allies in the DOJ to punish him for cooperating with OSC? (Please note- pure speculation on my part.)
