Sounds delicious to me, but Trump? I rather doubt it.

(6,672 posts)like, when the Queen stops eating, everyone has to stop eating. Not doing so, especially at a state dinner, would be a huge faux pas.
Hmmmm...
On the other hand, I hope nobody clued them in.

(150,864 posts)My first wife, from whom I parted peacefully, at our first time out together, said, "I'm ordering something with lots of garlic. If we're going to be fooling around later, you might want to do the same."
I knew right then we'd work out as a couple, and so we did for 17 years.

(959 posts)There is nothing happenstance about this menu. It is tailor made to irritate Dump. I can't imagine him eating two spoonfuls of anything that is listed here. He doesn't eat veggies, other than potato's, lamb is a mystery to him, he doesn't do alcohol. Fresh fruit? Not from the looks of him. Whoever did the menu is a genius

(113,192 posts)I saw this recipe for her absolute favorite:
Queen Elizabeths Favorite Cake: Chocolate Biscuit Cake
This chocolate biscuit cake is Her Royal Majesty the Queens favorite afternoon tea cake by far, chef Darren McGrady, The Royal Chef and former personal chef to Queen Elizabeth II, told TODAY Food. This cake is probably the only one that is sent into the royal dining room again and again until it has all gone.
It is her favorite cake that she eats until it is all gone, says McCrady. If there is anything left when she has it at Buckingham Palace, it then goes to Windsor Castle so she can finish it there. I use to travel on the train from London to Windsor Castle with the biscuit cake in a tin on my knee. It was half eaten.
It actually looks pretty simple (if you can find the 'tea biscuits' : https://theroyalchef.com/queen-elizabeths-favorite-cake-chocolate-biscuit-cake/

(113,192 posts)That menu looks like mana from heaven.
Poorly prepared fish or lamb would turn off most people. My guess is the preparation here might well make a fan out of you...

(4,914 posts)Id imagine its all top of the line. Im not saying Id be rude and not eat it but at first first glance Id be apprehensive. Its probably fantastically prepared.

Yeah. Not to sure about the watercress mousse thing.
The strawberry sable image you posted looks divine though.
That looks like what the horse next door threw up. After my daughter was feeding it a bunch of green apples.

(17,984 posts)I won't do the lamb. What will they do when he refuses everything but the petit fours and then demands seconds, even thirds? "Well, Donny Doodoo, we thought of that. We are bringing in a wheelbarrow full of cake and ice cream for you."

(15,359 posts)jackwagons! The one that's cool is not quite as picky as the other guys. I can't say I ever met a woman that was like that.
One of the guys was at least cool about warning us if we were going through a drive-thru. He'd say mine's gonna make us wait if we go there. So at least we had our chance to decide to just go in or go to a pizza place or something like that if we weren't in a hurry.
